Le Théâtre des Éphémères

Los Angeles · 2014–2016

Before La Comédie des Enfants de Cœur, there was a first company. Its name came from Ariane Mnouchkine's Les Éphémères, an evening at the Théâtre du Soleil about the small moments that turn out to be the treasure of a life. That conviction, that memory and shared experience are what matter most, that a life shared is a life well spent, was the founding idea. It outlived the company itself, and a decade later became the seed of everything that followed.

The company

Le Théâtre des Éphémères was an immersive theater company founded and directed by Benjamin Crockett. It staged three productions in neighborhoods across the city, made with the people who lived there, sometimes structured like games.
